Default UDPL matches

The UDPL(Utah Defensive Pistol League) has a handgun match on the last Saturday of each month. It is held out by the 5 mile pass area. Round count varies between 150-300 rounds. There are 9 or 10 stages. Most matches are IDPA style with some steel thrown in too. There are specific steel challenge matches on occassion. If you have never shot competition don't feel intimidated. Shooters are some of the nicest people you will find. The next match will be on December 26th. Sign in is at 9am. New shooter eeting at 9:30am. Match begins at 10am.

www.udpl.net is the website.

Was a blast. It was a little chilly though. About 7 degrees. Had a lot of fun though.

Great! The more the merrier. There is usually a round count associated with each match. I usually bring double that amount just to be on the safe side.

It ranges. I've seen as little as 40 people and as high as 100.

I hope your daughter is feeling better. It was a really fun match. A little cold at 11 degrees but it warmed up with the sun. Here are the results.

I finished 1st in my division and 1st overall. Was a ton of fun.

To all you lurkers out there. You should go give this a try. Me and my Bro in law went to one a few weeks ago in Santa Barbara CA just to watch, . We had never been. We were really intimidated,,,, until we saw some of the guys shoot

They talked us into shooting cuz newbees shoot for free. I got second and my bro got third. Believe me,,, We really aren't that good!!!! 25 guys ,6 were cops. None of the cops even broke the top ten.!

Don't be intimidated!!!! Nobody is THAT GOOD, It's not like anyone will criticize your shooting, this is all just good fun and will help your gun handling tremendously.

Simple fact: The more you pull the trigger the better you will get.

Just go with the idea you are gonna shoot and have fun. Believe me,,, you will.

Be safe first , then fast.

Randy
