This showed up today. Figured I would post up some pics & thoughts.
Normally these things are kind pricey, in the $150+ range. Primary Arms out of Texas has some cool components for really good prices. From what I understand is that he works closely with the manufacturer to make sure product meets his specs. Anyways, I noticed that he finally had a Flip-to-Side mount for a really good price and I've been wanting to change out my quick disconnect to one for a while now. Here's the Primary Arms Flip mount. It feels very well constructed and is very light. Doesn't feel cheap! DSC06201.jpg DSC06202.jpg Here's what it's replacing - my quick disconnect mount that holds my 3x magnifier. Because the mbus takes up a bit of space and the flip mount is a little bigger than the quick disconnect, I had to move my red dot forward one slot. No big deal, I'll just have to make sure it's still at zero next time I go out.
Other than that I'm very happy I got this mount. It's MUCH better than having to disconnect the magnifier and placing it somewhere. Flipped to the side it's completely out of the way. Here's the photos: Side view DSC06207.jpg DSC06208.jpg Down DSC06212.jpg DSC06214.jpg Here's how she is now. I do wish my magnifier would sit back a little further so I wouldn't have to put my nose right on the charge handle... I'll report back after I go fire it off a bit. Should be fine.
