Yay me!
I just made 49 rounds of 9mm!
I had 50 to make, But as I was moving one of the shells, I brought my hand down too quickly and spilled some of the powder...
Anyhow, I used 3.5gr of Ram shot ZIP pistol powder with a 147gr. copper plated lead bullet as per the load data on their site.
So, I guess I get to be the brave soul who gets to shoot it and see if I keep all my appendages.

Default More from the Man Cave chronicles

I was having a hell of a time reloading some 7.62x54r rounds today, I crushed the necks on 3 cases just trying to figure out the lengths and what not, It turned out I didnt use the de-burring tool quite enough, But I figured it out
Once I had reloaded 10 rounds I decided to call it a day and take a few pic's, Art fart style

Now I need to make sure I loaded them correctly, I just don't know when I'm going to get out to the desert...

Might well be just an optical illusion in the picture, but that decapping pin looks badly cocked?

Bad ju-ju for accuracy, if the expander is really cocked and it's not just the perspective of the photo making it appear so. Might be worth casting a critical eyeball on it.

I guess I will need to check it out, It's a brand new die.

Side note, I finally made it out to the range and shot some of my 9mm relaods, They worked great, I cant say how well they did on accuracy, But they didn't blow up in my face
Maxwell and I went through about 100 rounds, about 50 9mm and 50 .22lr through his Henry.
He is getting better, I need to keep it interesting for him, He starts to get a little complacent and doesn't aim, Thats when its time to call it a day.
Fun time however.

Decapping assemblies in new dies need to be adjusted and centered. If not done, or done improperly, it's extremely common to get them locked down crooked. Which will induce a large amount of runout in the finished round, which is just about the worst thing there is for accuracy.

Not at all sure if it really is crooked or not. But the picture sure makes it look like it is.

Its a small area, So its fairly easy to clean up after myself, I could do with a small shop vac. and garbage.
But thanks, I'm always curious to see what others do for loading area's.
